Surrounded by fir and larch woods, at an altitude of 600 m, the Lac des Settons is one of the great lakes of Morvan. With a surface area of 360 ha, it is held back by a stone dam, unique in France, an environment rich in forests and rivers, typical villages. Trails and roads run along the lake, which is equipped for pleasure boating, sailing and other water sports. Fishing is also practiced there. The beauty of the site and the multiple activities make this lake a very popular place to stay in summer. Guided tours of the dam are also offered in summer.
Heritage of the Morvan
The chapel of St Grégoire, probably dating from the 15th century, was rebuilt at the end of the 18th century in the woods of Mont Perroux. Two inscriptions indicate that the chapel was built in 1746.
