Vézelay



Vézelay is a charming village located in the heart of the vineyards of the region of the same name. At the top of the winding streets, you can admire a magnificent Romanesque basilica dating from the 12th century, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


Abbaye de la Pierre qui Vire




The Abbaye de la Pierre qui Vire is a Benedictine monastery located in the Cure valley. Founded in 1850, it is a place of pilgrimage and spiritual retreat. The monks also produce cheese, which is sold on site.

Saut du Gouloux



The Saut du Gouloux is a magnificent waterfall of 10 meters high, located in the Regional Natural Park of Morvan. Surrounded by a preserved nature, this waterfall is an ideal place for hiking, mountain biking and swimming.

Quarré les Tombes



Quarré les Tombes is a charming little village located in the heart of the meadows and woods of Morvan. You can find many shops, as well as local specialties such as waffles, ice cream, chocolate and jams. The picturesque streets and the stone houses give the village a unique charm.

Lake of Settons



Surrounded by fir and larch woods, at an altitude of 600 m, the Lac des Settons is one of the great lakes of Morvan. With a surface area of 360 ha, it is held back by a stone dam, unique in France, an environment rich in forests and rivers, typical villages. Trails and roads run along the lake, which is equipped for pleasure boating, sailing and other water sports. Fishing is also practiced there. The beauty of the site and the multiple activities make this lake a very popular place to stay in summer. Guided tours of the dam are also offered in summer.

St Gregory's Chapel



Heritage of the Morvan

The chapel of St Grégoire, probably dating from the 15th century, was rebuilt at the end of the 18th century in the woods of Mont Perroux. Two inscriptions indicate that the chapel was built in 1746.

The Parc aux Daims is a unique animal park where you can walk in the company of animals, while admiring the surrounding forest.

The Au Duc state forest covers 1234 hectares and is one of the oldest state forests in the Yonne.

Chateau de Chastellux



The Château de Chastellux is a jewel of medieval architecture located in the heart of the Morvan. Its architecture and its gardens make it an enchanting place. Nestled on a triangular rocky peak which gives it its particular shape.

Little Train of the Yonne

Bibracte



The archeological site of Bibracte is located on the Mount Beuvray, in a green setting where the forests are as grandiose as the landscapes. Green as far as the eye can see, on a hill which is one of the highest peaks of the Morvan, with its 821 m of altitude, and one of the 21 Great Sites of France

Montreal



In fact, in the 6th century, Mons Régalis appeared as a tribute to the stays of the Queen of the Franks Brunehilde, who ruled Burgundy alongside her husband Sigebert, son of Clotaire. Over time, the name changed from Mons Regalis (royal mountain) to Mont-Réau or Mont-Réal, and finally to Montréal.

During the French Revolution, the city was renamed Mont-Serein, but this did not last as the population and local institutions were keen to reconnect with the original root of the name.

Epoisse



The castle of Époisses, located in the commune that gave its name to the famous cheese (created by a community of Cistercian monks settled in this hamlet of just over 700 souls)
